Comments from the Call
00:06:11 Neena Stephen: I’m gonna switch back to audio in about 30 min, probs have to jump off around 1:50
00:07:51 Kait Buck: I also have to jump about 5 till 2
00:10:23 Kait Buck: Leading meetings and speaking in front of groups.
00:11:31 Kerrie Nason: An area I would like to feel more confident in are my conversations with clients. Sometimes, they will question and I will sound as if I have doubt and can lose trust.
00:11:52 Stephanie Domanski’s iPhone: Being more discoverable to others- how do I let others know what I’m doing/working on (and not feel like I’m intruding).
00:11:58 Neena Stephen: job search process
00:12:19 Neena Stephen: oooo Stephanie’s too! lol
00:12:20 Kerrie Nason: 🙂 but will also need to hop off in 45 minutes
00:12:29 laurenwu: Feeling more confident in my skills and experience – esp when reading job requirements.
00:13:30 Stephanie Domanski’s iPhone: yes you can call on my question/ coach me on this
00:13:44 Kait Buck: Excited bc I also work with clients & relate to this!
00:13:50 Kait Buck: (I mean, Kerrie and I work together… haha)
00:15:44 Kait Buck: YES. More broadly — I feel like showing confidence online is a different game than in person
00:15:52 Ada Chen: ^^THIS!
00:16:02 Kait Buck: and most of the time I’m on the phone
00:16:06 Ada Chen: It’s so much easier to confidently type/edit out a comment vs. on a call
00:16:27 Neena Stephen: how often is video on during your calls?
00:17:10 Kait Buck: Whenever I’m dressed HAHA. But my clients don’t use video, and part of the difficulty is reading them on the phone (or staying confident that they’re following)
00:19:10 Ada Chen: Why don’t they use video (or why do you think they don’t use video)
00:21:32 Kait Buck: great point
00:21:36 Kait Buck: Energy shifts when we feel like that
00:21:42 Kait Buck: and people may be able to pick up on it
00:23:51 Neena Stephen: are the clients (if there are multiple people) usually together in a room or are they all separated in the call as well?
00:24:40 Kait Buck: No usually everyone is separate
00:25:14 Ada Chen: Ah interesting
00:28:52 Kait Buck: I FEEL THAT.
00:28:59 Kait Buck: YES!
00:31:49 Kait Buck: Kerrie I relate to all of this !
00:34:54 Kait Buck: You can absolutely crave control without being a controlling person
00:35:00 Ada Chen: YES THIS!
00:37:53 laurenwu: Yes! I have done this! Not journaled but I have sat in the room and started at the wall and reflected.
00:38:01 laurenwu: stared*
00:38:33 Neena Stephen: yes, thank you!! you did so great walking through that!
00:40:41 Ada Chen: SUNDAY SCARIES
00:40:47 Kerrie Nason: Thanks everyone. I am teary to know I am not alone. 🙂 I’ve thought to be sure I am presentable and use video (this would be way outside my comfort zone and would have to work up to it)
00:41:29 Ada Chen: <3
00:42:33 laurenwu: Love that, Stephanie!
00:43:12 Kait Buck: I feel this!
00:48:01 Kait Buck: yes
00:50:07 Kerrie Nason: Thanks all and it’s been a pleasure meeting you. I need to hop off to a meeting. (bummed, I would love to stay on)! Till next time!
00:56:52 Kait Buck: That resonates with me!!
00:59:28 Kait Buck: that’s a great idea
00:59:55 Ada Chen: THIS RESONATES SO MUCH
01:00:30 Kait Buck: You have an audience there. I am so intimidated by the dancers-turned-yogis or whatever. We need more people to show that you don’t have to be Instagram perfect to do yoga!!
01:02:22 Kait Buck: gotta drop, but Stephanie you have an audience, and it is me 🙂 <3 Please put forth your perspective into the world, we need it!
01:03:15 Ada Chen: Yeah – can I just say that I was a dancer and I am no longer flexible, and I suuuuper appreciate when my yoga teachers are real like you
01:06:56 laurenwu: ^^ yes!
01:14:39 Ada Chen: OH I REMEMBER THIS PERSON
01:14:51 Ada Chen: Sorry I’m not trying to all caps today but the *feels*
01:22:54 Ada Chen: I feel like we’re so pre-programmed to do that though
01:23:32 Ada Chen: I also mean that like we spent our entire undergrad training on how to interview
01:23:39 Ada Chen: And so we default and let that drive it forward
01:24:38 Stephanie Domanski’s iPhone: Actually just noticed my stomach knots- I have felt exactly as you are so many times throughout my career, especially when I first start out
01:28:48 Stephanie Domanski’s iPhone: You are not alone
01:28:54 Ada Chen: <3
01:34:21 Stephanie Domanski’s iPhone: thank you so much for making time and space for this topic! ❤️
01:34:47 laurenwu: Thank you!
01:34:53 laurenwu: I thought this was going to be super scary.
01:34:54 Ada Chen: TY 🙂
01:34:58 laurenwu: But it wasn’t at all.
